Hello and welcome to my blog!

I’m Sonia Di Clemente, an illustrator, Chinese language expert (sinologist) and linguistic and cultural mediator. I teach both Italian and Chinese, and my professional journey has always revolved around language, connection, and cross-cultural dialogue.
A few years ago, I began to give more space to another passion of mine: illustration. Today, I work professionally in this field, merging my love for Eastern philosophy, visual art, and storytelling.
My artwork is strongly inspired by Asian aesthetics and philosophical themes such as harmony, balance, nature, and inner reflection. These elements shape not only the style of my illustrations, but also the stories they tell.
I work on paper-based illustrations as well as hand-painted wearable pieces.
I believe that art should walk in the world. This is why I love painting on objects, accessories, and clothing. I believe in wearable art as a way for people to express their uniqueness.
My collaborations range from editorial projects to custom artisanal creations. Every piece is unique, designed to tell a story or reflect the identity of the person who wears it.
